In a week steeped in green and garnished with global celebrations, ARI proudly hosted esteemed members of Ireland’s political cadre at various international locations in honour of St. Patrick’s Day.

With a proud Irish heritage, ARI is part of the state-owned daa, and are the pioneers of duty free, having opened the first duty free shop in the world at Shannon Airport, Ireland back in 1947. We now boast a presence in 13 countries and 27 cities worldwide.

It was our great privilege to extend a warm ‘Céad Míle Fáilte’ to Ireland’s leading dignitaries during this hallmark week for the Irish diaspora and enterprises worldwide.  Together with our colleagues and our partners, we are delighted to see ARI continue to prosper and expand its global footprint, and we wish a very joyous St Patrick’s Day to all. Slainte!

Ray Hernan

CEO, ARI

Visiting the locations this week were Tánaiste Micheál Martin TD at Montreal Duty Free, Canada, Simon Coveney, Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment who visited Delhi, India and Seán Ó Fearghaíl, Ceann Comhairle who was welcomed at Portugal Duty Free, Lisbon.

As the legacy of the shamrock spreads worldwide, ARI stands as a proud symbol of Irish innovation and the celebratory spirit of St. Patrick’s Day.
